I never thought I’d ever be a fan of Beavers, but today is a new day Dawg fans! The #1 ranked Trojans choked at the hands of Oregon State once again, 27-21. Wow, I’m still stunned, shocked and in disbelief all at the same time. They were dominated from start to finish – that was what was so suprprising to me. This wasn’t just a late, lucky drive. It was a beating, by an unranked 25-point underdog!
I don’t know about you, but I’m absolutely elated that the mighty condoms were ripped last night. It couldn’t happen to a more deserving program. After one game against a horrendous Virginia squad, the Trojans were crowned kings of football – wonder how quickly the poll voters will be jumping off that bandwagon this morning?
And this happened after ANOTHER USC bye week!
As always, its great to be a Bulldawg, especially this morning. Some might say that the pressure just got jacked up to the nth degree for us, and that might be true. But I also think there is a little relief. USC had an outrageously easy path to Miami and the Dawgs have been placed under the microscope since our preseason #1 ranking. Everyone expects a loss from Georgia and knocked us down the polls weekly when our wins weren’t pretty enough. Now, we see that a win is a win is a win. Period. And to me, UGA now knows one loss in our tough schedule won’t count us out. The pressure for perfection is over.
Go Dawgs!! Do it for Munson!!
