I don’t know about you, but I’m glad that UcheaT game has come and gone. As much as I knew we were most definitely the better team and desperately needed that SEC East win, I was still nervous about the outcome even going into the 4th quarter. The history of the last couple of years with those hillbillies kept me nervous. And our lack of redzone production Saturday didn’t help. What the hell?! Don’t get me wrong I’m all about Blair Walsh & may even start a fan club, but geez Georgia get the damn ball in for 6 already!!! A couple of season’s ago (that’s pre-Knowshon for you bandwagon folks that sit behind me in section 135) Brannan Southerland was our leading scorer. If we need to hand it to him to pound the rock again everytime we cross the 10, then so be it! Relying on the kicker for the majority of offensive production will only put us in the loser column against bigger, better SEC teams. So fix it Bobo, FAST.
It’s hard to fathom, but we’ve already faced the lesser of the 2 teams fromTennessee. Vandy is rolling into Athens this weekend for Homecoming again, and this time they’re armed with a top 25 ranking. I’m still depressed over their last visit & the damper they put on my Homecoming festivities dammit! There was a time when Vandy was an instant & easy win for Homecoming, but those days are over thanks to Bobby Johnson. Fyi Coach Johnson, just so you know many Dawg fans will be happy to pack your U-haul for Climpsun if you need a hand, K? Anyways, I’m ready for the days of you brainiacs simply bending over to take your annual beating to make a smashing comeback! In the meantime, we actually have to worry about possibly losing this game AGAIN and wondering if the chapel bell will ring on Homecoming. Fantastic.
By watching the video below, evidently I’m not the only one a little concerned about the Commodores making a return visit, which quite frankly is great news. The last thing a struggling & injury-riddled team like my Dawgs need to do is get caught looking past this game in favor of LSU coming up. A simple reminder of last year’s near loss & desperate, last-second field goal should do the trick!
I’ll have my Homecoming preview up by Friday, but with less smack – sorry, what can I say? I like Bobby Johnson. Anyways on the subject of posting, I know I haven’t been lighting up my blog a lot lately whch sucks because I actually had this rush of new ideas the last couple of weeks, mostly pertaining to the Dawgs & college football. My class schedule this term, however, is pretty demanding with 3 labs. But I also broke a bone in my foot a couple of weeks ago and I’m now dealing with a little reoccurance of a health issue I dealt with over the summer too. It’s no bigee, but the totality of it all is running me down and crimping into my blogging time. If you read my blog regularly, expect the smack posts to reappear in full force starting next week and for the forseeable future. We’ve got LSU and the gaytors coming up, not to mention the barners & yech, and there’s nothing that kicks my blogging ass into gear faster than getting ready to smacktalk about those losers. Anyhoo, thanks for the patience and for sticking around!
GO DAWGS!

Our gameplan on defense needs to be identical to what we showed against UT. Stuff the run and take away the short routes. Force them to beat you over the top. It can’t happen enough for them to outscore us. Also, when we play this type of defense, the ball gets back in the hands of our offense which is what led to so much time of possession against UT. We will score over 30 against Vandy. Can they possibly score that much on us? I doubt it. But, it is good to expect a battle and prepare for a tight game. It could end up that way again. It is not what I am feeling – but it could be tighter than I expect. If we don’t turn the ball over, it won’t get tight.
I look forward to your preview.
GATA!
hey girlie!

As much as I hate seeing a ranked Vandy coming to town, they just don’t scare me. Their offense is 117th in the country, their defense is 10th in the SEC (40th or so nationally – god that says a lot about SEC defense) and they have “big wins” over a horrible Auburn team and a South Carolina team that was looking down the road at Georgia.
I’ll give Bobby Johnson credit for being a good coach, but I can also see Vandy losing 5 of their last 6. The following teams left on their schedule should beat them (9 out of 10 times anyway): Georgia, Florida, Wake Forest, Tennessee). Their other games are Uk and Duke, both horrible teams but historically so are they.
Either way, I don’t think we’ll screw around with them too much this weekend. Look for us to try and put it away early and unlike last week we will succeed.
