Well, not exactly Hollywood. More like New York City, but you get the point. In case you’ve forgotten Herschel Walker signed on for the upcoming second season of Celebrity Apprentice with his old boss Donald Trump. Herschel joins 15 other athletes & celebrities, including Dennis Rodman, Joan Rivers, Scott Hamilton, Jesse James & Tom Green, competing for their favorite charities and the coveted title of Apprentice winner.
For those of you that don’t know, Herschel doesn’t fail. At anything. I realize I’m biased, but I dare say you’d find a tougher competitor at anything, than Herschel Walker. The man loves to win, and does so effortlessly. In addition to his title as one of the best, if not THE best, running back in football, Herschel is an Olympian, Author, Public Speaker, succesful entrepreneur, and Father. Most importantly, Herschel is no stranger to charitable causes. Over the years he’s served & contributed to countless charities not only in the Athens community, but in the Dallas area (where he resides), and across the country as well.
Honestly, I feel sorry for the other Apprentice cast members if you wanna know the truth. Sure there are some great personalities with lots of talent joining Herschel, but there’s not another celebrity in that cast that’s as loaded with competitive drive, ambition, intelligence, and business savy like Herschel Walker. Adding into the mix his longtime friendship with The Donald, and I doubt we’ll see #34 exiting the boardroom without the title & a big donation for his charity.
Don’t believe me? Watch this clip of Herschel. I got a thousand bucks that says Tom Green’s gonna walk away from this competition with a permanent limp & the inability to procreate. Just a hunch.
This is my favorite line – just quintessential Herschel Walker:
“I won’t lose my integrity but I tell you what, all the competitors better bring more than their lunch because this is an all day job. I always tell people I’m a donkey running with thoroughbreds and when the competition starts I become that thoroughbred. So that’s what you’re gonna get here.”
